From the news, two families from Pendra district of Chhattisgarh claimed that they have yet not received the houses which has been sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Despite their name has been mentioned in the beneficiary list they have yet not got their house.
Guddu Rautel & Usha Bai Kol, have alleged that neither they have received any money from the local body nor any houses were built for them. As they are living in a kutcha house and during rainy season their house get filled up with water. For now, they are living in someone else house and the owner has said to vacate the place.
Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat of Pendra assures that he will enquire this case and ensures those who find guilty will be strictly punished and the defrauded beneficiaries who got their homes. He asked a report on this matter and assured that justice will be provided to them.
Inspector of Pendra Police Station, ensures investigation to be done in this case and the official who are found to be guilty will be punished.
Inspector of the Pendra police station, I Tirkey, said that although an investigation had been launched under the case, it was still early to pinpoint who the guilty were.
