DPMS Planning To Ease Property Tax Assessment Soon
Development Permission Management System (DPMS) is planning to integrate building permission and property tax soon in Hyderabad. Unlike earlier, property tax will be assessed while issuing the Occupancy Certificate.
“Once we enter the details in DPMS for building permission, the data will be shared in single window platform and property tax will be evaluated. We will develop a software to link building permission and property tax,” said a top GHMC official.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) official stated that once the details are being listed in DPMS for building permission the data will be shared in a a particular-window platform and property tax will be evaluated according to it. Development of software will come into action comprising the building permission and property tax.
As on today after the occupancy certificate is issued by civic body’s town planning wing. It cannot be ignored that sometimes houses have been identified after three years of occupancy and bill collectors manually assessed the properties and calculated property tax.
With today onward the occupancy certificate will be issued by civic body’s town planning division. It can’t be overlooked that there are issues with cases where homes have been identified after 3-years of occupancy and bill collectors have manually evaluated the properties and estimated property tax.
